chamber choir Voxcetera will return to the “Cathedral of the
Marshes” to share a programme of choral music featuring
compositions by Mozart, Byrd, Brahms, Elgar, Ola Gjeilo, Karl
Jenkins, John Rutter and more. Featuring both traditional
European sacred music, and secular treats including selections
of Elgar’s charming “Songs from the Bavarian Highlands”
and John Rutter’s haunting arrangements of folk songs from
his collection The Sprig of Thyme. There will also be work by
the popular and prolific choral composer Paul Ayres including
his version of Burt Bacharach’s '(They long to be) Close To
You'.
